DeVonte Adams is out of purgatory as he signs with the Raiders

DeVonte Adams is officially out of Packer land. He packed his bags and moved to Las Vegas. It appears no amount of money would’ve kept him up in the cold north with the Packers. Adams signed a five year contract worth $141 million, with $67 million being fully guaranteed. Thus, making him the highest paid wide receiver in the league. What does this mean for the AFC West division and, specifically, for the Raiders?

All teams in the AFC West have beefed up this off season, but it almost doesn’t matter who the Broncos get as their quarterback. They can get Russell Wilson, Russell Westbrook since LeBron is probably gonna trade him first chance he gets, or hell, get Russell Crowe for some entertainment. It won’t matter, they will be the worst team in this division.

What the Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders have all done far outweighs Russell Wilson to Denver. They won’t be a factor in this division at all. As for the Raiders, not only did they pick up the best wide receiver in football, but they put him back together with his college quarterback, someone he is very familiar with and comfortable throwing the ball. And let’s face it, Adams’ been in purgatory for the last three seasons with all the situations and drama surrounding Aaron Rodgers. All that weight has been lifted off his shoulders.

He’s going to a team that might very well be the best team in the AFC West right now.

What do you think? Are the Raiders the best team in the AFC West? Let us know in the comments.
