Cincinnati Bengals Plan to Make Chase Brown the Focal Point of Their Offense

The Cincinnati Bengals are set to lean heavily on Chase Brown as the centerpiece of their rushing attack in 2025.

Offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher called Brown a “top-10 back in the league” and emphasized the importance of keeping the explosive player on the field while managing his workload. “You don’t want to burn the guy out,” Pitcher said, highlighting the balance between maximizing Brown’s touches and keeping him fresh for big plays.

A fifth-round pick in 2023, Brown had a breakout season in 2024. He rushed for 990 yards and seven touchdowns on 229 carries and added 54 receptions for 360 yards across 16 games, sitting out Week 18 with an ankle injury.

This offseason, the Bengals have tailored their offensive scheme around Brown’s strengths. Running backs coach Justin Hill said, “It wasn’t about what looks good on the board. It was about what Chase is good at. How can we showcase his tools in the run game and in the pass game? What we have now is pretty true to who we think Chase is and what he can be.”

Bengals fans can expect Brown to see a significant workload in 2025, as Cincinnati seeks to make him the centerpiece of both their rushing and passing attack.
