The New York Jets are navigating several injury updates as the preseason progresses.
Quarterback Tyrod Taylor underwent a knee procedure and will be out for the remainder of the preseason, head coach Aaron Glenn announced. Glenn added that the hope is Taylor will be ready for Week 1, giving the Jets time to manage his recovery carefully.

Wide receiver Allen Lazard is dealing with a shoulder injury and is likely to miss the next two weeks, according to Glenn. His absence will limit depth at the wide receiver position in the short term.
Defensive end Jermaine Johnson II, recently activated from the physically unable to perform list, told reporters he expects to be ready for Week 1. Johnson’s return will provide a boost to the Jets’ pass rush and defensive line rotation.
