Pittsburgh Steelers Injury Update: Rodgers Fine, Others Day-to-Day

Training camp can be messy, but the Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be handling bumps and bruises the way you’d hope a veteran team would. A few minor injuries have popped up, but the overall picture is encouraging.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers got stepped on during practice, but head coach Mike Tomlin assured reporters that nothing significant happened to his lower right leg. Rodgers didn’t miss a single rep and even had his leg wrapped as a precaution. That’s exactly the kind of resilience the Steelers need from their signal-caller.

Wide receiver Calvin Austin III and tight end Jonnu Smith are both listed as day-to-day. While neither injury appears serious, the team will be cautious to ensure both are ready for the regular season.

Cornerback Jalen Ramsey returned to full participation in practice, which is a big boost for a secondary that relies heavily on his presence to lock down opposing receivers.

For Steelers fans, the takeaway is clear. Minor setbacks are happening, but the team’s core is healthy and focused as they ramp up toward Week 1.
