The Baltimore Ravens have finalized their 53-man roster and the process came with several surprises, including the release of familiar names and tough injury setbacks.
Roster Cuts
Quarterback Devin Leary was waived, according to NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero, and the team quickly confirmed the move. Running back D’Ernest Johnson was also released as part of six total departures.
Wide receiver Xavier Guillory and linebacker William Kwenkeu were waived with injury settlements. Cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis, once viewed as a potential depth piece in the secondary, was among 23 players waived. Safety Beau Brade was also let go, a move later announced by the Ravens.

Injury Report
Baltimore also had to shuffle its roster due to injuries. Wide receiver Dayton Wade was placed on injured reserve. Offensive tackle Emery Jones Jr. was placed on the reserve non-football injury list. Linebacker Adisa Isaac was placed on short-term IR. Safety Ar’Darius Washington was placed on the PUP list.
What It Means
The Ravens are entering the season thinner at several key positions. Depth at wide receiver, linebacker, and in the secondary has taken a hit. Losing Armour-Davis and Brade leaves questions in the defensive backfield, while Isaac’s absence weakens the rotation at linebacker.
Even with the setbacks, Baltimore has proven year after year that it can adapt. With Lamar Jackson under center and John Harbaugh leading the way, the Ravens will rely on their depth and player development to stay in contention throughout the 2025 season.
