Tory Horton’s camp hype just went live under the preseason lights.
The Seahawks rookie wideout made his presence felt early in Thursday’s game against the Raiders, hauling in a 10-yard touchdown in traffic, spinning out of a tackle, and finding the end zone.
And that was not all. Horton also flashed in the return game, taking a punt for a solid gain and showing off the versatility that has made him a favorite in camp.
“You just felt him out there,” head coach Mike Macdonald said. “We’ve been seeing it in practice, but to see it in a game setting was great. The punt return helped us, the touchdown helped us. It was just a continuation of what he’s been doing.”

The fifth-round pick caught three passes on a game-high seven targets for 31 yards and the score, building on what has already been an impressive summer. Behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, the WR3 and WR4 spots are wide open and Horton’s making his case.
Drew Lock, who connected with Horton on the touchdown, did not hold back praise.
“He runs the right routes, makes contested catches, and when the ball’s in his hands, he makes plays. If he keeps this up, he’s going to be a really good football player.”
With his roster spot all but locked up, Horton now has his eyes on real playing time. If injuries hit especially with Kupp’s history, the rookie could be a bigger part of Seattle’s offense than anyone expected.
