Bears Hand Out Surprise $10M QB Deal!

The Chicago Bears were busy with roster changes and injury updates this week. Running back Deion Hankins (shoulder) has been placed on injured reserve, while cornerback Kyler Gordon made a positive return to practice. Unfortunately, cornerback Terell Smith (leg) will be placed on IR and will miss the entire 2025 season, according to head coach Ben Johnson.

In the biggest move of the day, quarterback Tyson Bagent signed a two-year, $10 million contract extension, with incentives that could push the deal to $16 million, per NFL Network Insiders. The team later confirmed the signing.

Additionally, the Bears added veteran running back Royce Freeman, bolstering depth in the backfield heading into the season.
