The Green Bay Packers are already dealing with injury setbacks as Week 1 approaches, and head coach Matt LaFleur provided updates that will keep fans on edge.
Wide receiver Jayden Reed did not practice on Wednesday, according to local reporters. Reed was expected to be a key weapon in Jordan Love’s passing attack, so his absence is something to monitor closely.

On the offensive line, center Elgton Jenkins will be limited in practice. Jenkins is one of the anchors of the line, and any limitations raise questions about the protection scheme for Love as the Packers prepare to face a tough Lions front.
The biggest storyline surrounds linebacker Micah Parsons, who is now in Green Bay after the blockbuster trade with Dallas. Parsons is dealing with a back issue but is hopeful to play in the season opener against Detroit. His presence could be the deciding factor in how well the Packers contain the Lions’ explosive offense.
With Reed sidelined, Jenkins limited, and Parsons battling through pain, the Packers’ health is already a concern before the first snap of 2025. Green Bay will need quick answers if they want to open the season with momentum.
