The Chicago Bears are betting big on Caleb Williams in his second NFL season. Last year’s No. 1 overall pick enters 2025 with an upgraded supporting cast that could help him rewrite the franchise record books.

The hiring of Ben Johnson as offensive coordinator gives Williams a proven play-caller who knows how to maximize elite talent. The offensive line, once a weak link, now boasts a group of veteran additions that could make it one of the better units in the league—if they stay healthy.
Williams also has plenty of receiving firepower at his disposal. Starters Rome Odunze and DJ Moore provide top-tier targets, while rookies Colston Loveland at tight end and Luther Burden III at receiver add versatility and big-play potential in Johnson’s offense.
The running game remains a question mark, meaning Williams could see even more action through the air. If Johnson leans on the passing attack, the Bears QB could pile up stats and make a serious push for a Pro Bowl berth in only his second season.
