The Chicago Bears made several roster moves this week as training camp continues, affecting both their defensive backfield and overall depth.
Injuries have hit the secondary hard. Defensive back Major Burns was waived with an injury designation, while Shaun Wade has been placed on injured reserve. These moves create opportunities for other players to step up as the team looks to maintain depth in the defensive backfield.

The Bears also made a couple of roster cuts at other positions. Wide receiver John Jackson and kicker Jonathan Kim were released, trimming the roster as the preseason progresses.
To help fill the gaps in the secondary, Chicago added four defensive backs. Millard Bradford, Mekhi Garner, Kaleb Hayes, and Mark Perry have joined the team, giving the Bears additional options and competition in the defensive backfield.
Fans will be watching closely to see how the new additions perform in practice and preseason games, and whether they can make an impact in 2025.
