Chiefs Manage Injuries as Preseason Continues

The Kansas City Chiefs are dealing with a few key injuries as they prepare for another preseason game.

Running back Kareem Hunt is out of practice due to a quad contusion, head coach Andy Reid confirmed. Losing Hunt limits options in the backfield and gives other players a chance to step up during practice and preseason action.

Wide receiver Marquise Brown (ankle/foot) also remains out of practice. His absence affects the Chiefs’ passing attack depth and timing with the quarterbacks.

On the quarterback side, Patrick Mahomes has a "good chance" of sitting out Friday’s preseason matchup against the Seattle Seahawks, according to Reid. The Chiefs appear focused on keeping their stars healthy while evaluating depth players in live game situations.

How Kansas City handles injuries and playing time in the preseason could be crucial for building momentum heading into Week 1.
