Detroit Lions Injury Report: Updates as the 2025 Season Approaches

The Detroit Lions are managing several injuries as they prepare for the 2025 NFL season, with key players progressing through recovery and others facing setbacks.


Injury Updates:

  • Left Tackle Taylor Decker, sidelined with a shoulder injury, is expected to increase his activity in Monday’s practice, head coach Dan Campbell told reporters. This is a positive sign for the Lions’ offensive line stability.

  • Offensive Tackle Dan Skipper returned to practice but in a limited capacity, according to Campbell. The team is cautious as they ease him back onto the field.

  • Offensive Lineman Trystan Colon-Castillo will be out for an extended period due to an elbow injury, a significant blow to Detroit’s offensive front.

  • Defensive End Ahmed Hassanein left practice early and is currently being evaluated for a lower leg injury, per Campbell. His status remains uncertain as the team awaits further updates.

  • Safety Morice Norris Jr. has rejoined the team and is now in concussion protocol. Norris was taken off the field in an ambulance after a Friday night incident but is reportedly doing well, according to Campbell.
