Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst confirmed Tuesday that quarterback Jordan Love will undergo a procedure on his left thumb after suffering an injury during Saturday’s preseason opener against the New York Jets.

Gutekunst reassured fans that there is no broken bone involved, describing the injury as “a ligament thing.” The procedure is expected to address the issue and get Love back on the field as soon as possible.
The good news for the Packers is that Love is not expected to miss any regular-season games. Gutekunst said Love should return to practice next week as he continues his recovery.
This update provides some relief for Green Bay as they prepare for the 2025 season, hoping their starting quarterback stays healthy and ready to lead the team.
