The Detroit Lions are managing injuries and adding depth as training camp progresses.
Tight end Sam LaPorta will not practice on Thursday and is expected to miss additional time with an undisclosed injury. Head coach Dan Campbell said it is not considered major, but it will limit his reps in the short term.

Offensive lineman Keaton Sutherland and cornerback Dicaprio Bootle have both been placed on injured reserve, creating depth concerns on both sides of the ball.
To fill the gaps, the Lions added offensive lineman Zack Johnson and cornerback Allan George. These additions give Detroit more options and help keep the roster balanced as injuries pile up.
