The Los Angeles Chargers are getting closer to full health as the regular season approaches, though a few key players are still on the injury radar.
Running back Najee Harris, who had been dealing with an eye issue, participated in drills during Tuesday’s practice. His return to full activity is a positive sign for a backfield that will rely on him heavily in Jim Harbaugh’s second year as head coach.

Wide receiver Ladd McConkey also returned to practice after dealing with an undisclosed injury. Getting McConkey back adds depth to a receiving corps that will look to give the offense multiple explosive options.
Offensive guard Mekhi Becton has not practiced since the end of July, but Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman said Tuesday that Becton is working through something and is participating in meetings and walkthroughs. Roman expects Becton to be back by the start of the season, though nothing is concrete. His availability will be crucial for protecting the quarterback and establishing the running game.
The Chargers are inching closer to a fully healthy lineup, but fans will be watching closely to see if Becton is ready to start the season at full strength.
